MTC Partner Responsive & Planned Maintenance
We have now twice secured contracts with Sheffield Hallam University and have been partnering with them since 2006. We recently renewed this contract during 2012 and also secured a contract for electrical works during 2013.
The contracts comprise of a large variety of works which cover the two main Sheffield campuses. The works can consist of both internal maintenance and external maintenance which also includes roofing repairs and re-roofing works on Collegiate Campus.
Our close professional relationship with Sheffield Hallam University is apparent in the works we undertook in the Main Building at Collegiate Campus. Sheffield Hallam University had been having a long term issues with water ingress within this Grade 2 Listed building which was causing considerable damage.
Many contractors had tried to remedy the problem with no success. Sheffield Hallam University contacted us to see if we could assist and through a serious of investigatory works, we were able to find the problem which was found to be located within the internal rain hoppers, gutters and valleys. These were corroded and blocked to a severe degree and we were able to rectify all problems to the satisfaction of the client.
A major part of works carried out for this client is on their Long Term Maintenance Program carried out during the shutdown period of 8 weeks were we could be undertaking multiple disciplined works that have to be carried out within strict costing budgets and time constraints
