The Lion Works

The Works comprise the removal of vegetation to allow an access scaffolding to be erected. The organisation of a Refurbishment and Demolition Asbestos Survey with the subsequent removal of any asbestos containing materials identified. The removal of the existing fire damaged roof, installation of new replacement roof structure and covering, associated flashing’s, soffits, fascia’s and rainwater goods. Treatment of the existing steel columns. Construction of a block wall to act as underpinning, rebuilding areas of unstable brick walls and chimneys, with re pointing to some other areas. Sheeting the courtyard elevation for weatherproofing.

Due to the building suffering heavy fire damage it caused a substantial part of the building to become unstable which had an impact on local businesses attached or in the vicinity of the building also the access and egress for heavy and light vehicle, (one business was a car repairs workshop). So we were carrying out heavy drilling and scaffolding this was carried out with no complaints from the surrounding houses and businesses along with repairing and making safe the attached businesses.
